"We Thought You were Dead," the Waiter said.

My fiancé and I were at dinner last night and I recognized one of the waiters. I told Emily that about five years ago I used to work with that guy going door to door selling restaurant coupon books. I was really, really screwed up. I was deep in my drug and alcohol addiction and I actually used to buy drugs off this guy after work. Well that job didn't last long. I couldn't make it to work because I was up all night partying. Four months later I would crawl into the Salvation Army Homeless, Carless and Hopeless. Jesus took it from there and you guys know the rest of the story!

This waiter came up to me because he recognized me and said, "What ever happened to you? You stopped showing up for work. We went by your apartment and you wouldn't answer your door. We thought you were dead!!!" I told him that I have four and a half years clean and sober, am a born again Christian, am engaged to be married and now attend Lakewood Church on a regular basis!"

After he left the table Emily said, "You are born again! You are a new person and that person that he knew doesn't exist anymore!"

Thank you Jesus for saving my life! Thank you for Lakewood Church! Thank you for a Praying Mama! Thank you for a beautiful, strong, praying Christian Woman in my life!

If Jesus did it for me...He can do it for you!!!
