My first Action Step in my Transformation while I was at the Salvation Army was to develop a Daily morning meditation time with Jesus.
Learn More01-09-2015This I believe was the most important Action Step I took. Since I am a people person who is easily influenced I had to leave the toxic crowd I was running with and I had to fully surround myself with loving, caring, positive and encouraging believers.
Learn More02-01-2015Well not every day but as many days as you physically can. Let me explain what I mean by this and let me tell you the importance of this. I got out of my very last treatment center for drugs and alcohol on July 3, 2015. It was at this time that I got an apartment and was free to do what I wanted with my spare time. Now since I had already developed a close relationship with my Band of Brothers at church and things were getting better every day, why change anything? There is an old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." So, let me explain what I did. I didn't have a car, so I needed to ride the bus to work and everywhere I needed to go. Unless you live out in the sticks where there are no bus routes IT IS POSSIBLE to get around. By the way I am willing to bet that if you do live out in the sticks that a REAL Christian brother would probably come get you to take you to church. I knew the importance of surrounding myself with positive people. It was very, very vital that I started to volunteer at my church and to be involved with as many ways to share my Testimony and to give back as I could. So here is what a typical week looked like for me: Monday-Friday: Get up at 5:00 am. Do my morning meditation. Ride my bike around the neighborhood. Eat breakfast. Jump on the bus to work with a change of clothes and be at work by 8:00 am. Get off work at 6:00 PM. Change into my Ministry clothes and ride the bus from work to church. Serve at church in either the Men’s Ministry or volunteer. After church, either catch a ride home or ride the bus. Get home by 10:00 pm shower, pray in the Holy Spirit for an hour and go to bed to get up at 5:00 am. Saturday: Morning meditation, go to church or meet with brothers from church and serve in some way. Saturday night I would ride the bus to church or catch a ride with friends and volunteer. After church I was invited out to dinner and then given a ride home! Sunday Morning: I would either ride the bus to church or catch a ride. I would volunteer at church and then attend Men’s Ministry meetings after church. I would ride the bus home or catch a ride home and get home around 3:00 pm and have the rest of the day to myself. The next day on Monday…I would repeat what I did the week before. I did that schedule from July of 2015 until October of 2016 when a brother from my church “GAVE ME” an old, beat up, beautiful car! And then, I would do the exact same schedule week in and week out until I started the Lakewood Church Intern program in September of 2017. Then I was at church 6 days a week. What this did for me was totally submerge myself in Jesus, ministry, fellowship and serving by being the hands and feet of Jesus. I didn’t have time do to or think about anything from the old world that I used to live in. Jesus was reprogramming my mind. He was programming my Spirit. I was being transformed a little bit at a time every single day. Every new day that I woke up I had a little more peace in my heart. Every new day God gave me a few more blessings. Every new day I was being transformed into the person that I am becoming today. That person today is a responsible, loving, selfless, strong, compassionate, shameless, addiction free Man of God! The way I feel each and every morning is priceless! Thank you, Jesus, for saving my life! So, if you too want a new, beautiful, fulfilling, peaceful, addiction free life then do what I did. If God did it for me…He can do it for you!!! Thank you for listening and remember we are praying for you every single day! We love you and remember…Jesus IS KING! Amen!
04-03-2015The Holy Spirit Comes "On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability."Acts 2: 1-4

So why would you try to teach yourself how to walk a Christian Walk? It is VITAL and NECESSARY to have a Mature, Experienced, Loving and Committed to Christ Spiritual Mentor!
