If I only could get a job...

If I only had a car...

If I could only stop drinking...

If I only had my own apartment...

Do these things sound familiar? Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God AND His righteousness and ALL (That's right I said ALL) these things will be added to you (You will have)." What that means to me is ALL these things are the desires of my heart. All these things are the desires of YOUR Heart!

Every single time I went to Rehab I went with one purpose in mind...to stop drinking so I could continue to live the way I was living and manage my life. What I didn't realize was that I had to quit living the way I was living in order to STOP Drinking! Yes Jonathan, I was putting the cart before the horse!

I tried to quit drinking a 1,000 times but my lifestyle and the way I was living required me to keep drinking! So it didn't matter how many AA meetings I went to a day/week. It didn't matter how many times I called my sponsor or read that so called "Big Book." It wasn't until I started reading the "Biggest Book" which is the Bible that my life REALLY started to change. When I started hanging around the guys that were living right that is when the miracle began happening. The desire, the need, the want to drink LEFT ME! Then I surrounded myself with loving, caring, giving, non-judgmental men who showed me what true Christlikeness was. I found those men at Lakewood Church here in Houston, Texas. They are my best friends now. My true Brothers in Christ!

The first thing I had to do was seek God. To seek Jesus. To lean into Jesus Christ! I have HOPE TODAY! I am marrying my Princess in 24 days Y'all!

We love you! Jesus IS KING!
