"Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever." 1 John 2:15-17
My heart goes out to the families in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio for the tragedies last weekend. I believe this is only the beginning though. As John states in 1 John, the world does only offer a craving for physical pleasure. And guess what? Physical pleasure is only temporary. I know that because I lived it for 30 years. The world and immediate gratification is only temporary and it will fade away in time. I tell you something and someone that will NEVER fade away and that is Jesus Christ and His love for you!

" This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous. So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you." 1 John 3:11-13
I was talking to a friend in church Saturday night and I said that before we leave the house we better be prayed up. We had better have made our peace with people and know...I mean absolutely know without a shadow of a doubt that we are going to heaven. We never know when it will be our time!
Thank you Jesus Christ for turning my life around. Thank you for letting me realize who my source is. Thank you for protecting me and my family every single day!
In Jesus" Name! Amen!
