I believe this verse says it all...
Seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness includes continuing throughout our WHOLE LIFE to see where we can help hurting people. This is so important to me on a daily basis. I read the bible, meditate on scripture, pray in the Spirit, serve at church, am involved in different ministries and serve alongside my fiancé'. I have to remember that I should seek throughout my every day life to see how I can be of service for the betterment of the Kingdom of God. This means little things like picking up trash or holding doors for people. Being kind to EVERYONE even if people aren't kind to me in return. What am I doing on a daily basis to spread love and joy around the world? I guarantee you that if you walk around with an attitude of Love and Forgiveness you will be at peace.
Now believe me some people will try to disrupt your peace. They may even be down right nasty and hurtful. But I have a decision to make every single day...will I continue to walk in peace or will I let someone steal my joy? The decision is 100% ALL MINE!!!
So you might me saying right now, "Come on!!! No one can be at peace ALL THE TIME!!!" You are 100% right. I am not Jesus or God. But I have learned that I can start my day over at any time. I also know that my mood and my peace are pretty much dependent on how much time I am spending in my prayer closet or meditating on the word. If I start getting upset or irritated by what people are saying I have to look at how my meditation time has been. Also, whatever goes in...comes out. That means whatever I am pouring into my heart comes out of my heart. If I decide to watch a Netflix show that is worldly and has curse words in it then I might let a cuss word come out if I start to get aggravated or upset about the way someone spoke to me. Again, whatever goes in...comes out! It's my choice what I watch or listen to.
So to continue to have peace in my life I have to:
1. Continue to Love and Serve!!!
and
2. Watch what I put in because...it will always come out!!!
Thank you so much Jesus that I can start my day over any time I want. Thank you for being faithful to me! Thank you for putting people in my life who will call me on my behavior if they see me acting ungodly!
Thanks for listening and we love you!
Amen!
